Dark Gathering follows Keitaro Gentoga, a university student who has the ability to attract spirits after a traumatic supernatural incident in his past. Trying to live a normal life, he begins tutoring a gifted young girl named Yayoi Houzuki. However, Yayoi is not afraid of ghosts—instead, she actively seeks powerful spirits to capture them. As they explore haunted locations, they encounter dangerous and terrifying entities. The anime blends psychological horror with mystery and character-driven drama. With unsettling atmosphere and intense supernatural encounters, it delivers a darker tone compared to typical ghost stories. At its core, the story explores trauma, revenge, and confronting fear.
