Ghost in the Shell: Arise is a cyberpunk anime prequel to the famous Ghost in the Shell franchise created by Masamune Shirow. The story takes place before the formation of Public Security Section 9 and focuses on the early career of Motoko Kusanagi, a highly skilled cyborg operative.
