Darling in the Franxx is a sci-fi mecha anime set in a distant future where humanity survives inside massive mobile fortress cities called Plantations. The world is constantly under attack by giant monsters known as Klaxosaurs, and the only way to fight them is by piloting powerful robots called Franxx. These Franxx can only be operated by a male and female pair, trained from childhood for combat.
The story focuses on Hiro, a former prodigy pilot who loses his confidence after failing to synchronize with a partner. His life changes when he meets Zero Two, a mysterious and rebellious girl with horns who is feared for being part-human and part-monster. Together, they become an unstoppable duo, but their partnership brings dangerous consequences and hidden secrets. As the team battles enemies and uncovers the truth behind their society, the anime explores love, identity, sacrifice, and what it means to be truly human, delivering emotional moments and intense action.
